  • The multicultural cooking club will be held this Friday after school.  Stop by the Foods room to make veggie dumplings with us! 
  • Are you  involved in the Duke of Ed Award?  Do you have questions about Duke of E?  If so, Karen Gormely will be here today at lunch to answer your questions and check in. 
  • There are still 9 spots available on the Blood Bus this Wednesday after school.  Pluck up your courage.  Sign up your name.  Hop up onto the blood bus and Give up a little time (and blood) to save some lives.   
  • TEDxYouth@Kingston is an idea-sharing event featuring student and guest speaker TED talks, with a goal to empower youth in Kingston. To help organize this event, see TEDxYouth@Kingston’s Instagram or Facebook, or scan the QR codes around the school. Applications  are due by March break; speaker applications will be coming out after.  
  • Model UN permission forms are available in the main office and are due back by March 13th with the $35 fee. Talk to Kaitlyn Rankin or Mayy Mounib if you have any questions. 
  • Semi formal has been rescheduled to Friday, April 17th due to a school board strike on February 21st. Refunds are available but tickets are still valid for the new date.  
  • Attention: Madame Penny and Mademoiselle Ash’s Grade 12 Immersion students from last semester. We have an opportunity to attend the premiere showing of the film “Antigone” at the Kingston Canadian Film Festival on Wednesday March 11th.  We will also meet the lead actress.  Ms. Penny has a limited block of tickets at $10 a piece.  You will have to find your way to and from the Isabel Bader Centre.  If you are interested, please see Ms. Penny in room 325. There are only 20 tickets, first come first serve. 
  • Are you looking for a great way to volunteer?  We are looking for student volunteers to help out at this year’s Regional Science Fair.  The fair takes place during the afternoon and evening of Thursday, March 26th and all day Friday, March 27th at Duncan MacArthur Hall.  You can earn up to 14 volunteer hours and help out at a great event.  If you are interested, please sign up on the list on the science Office door or see Mr. Haberer.  Thanks!

  • Hey novice Girls’ volleyball team, just a reminder of our pizza lunch tomorrow in Room 321.  Bring a drink & we will see you there! 
  • Attention to all those who are interested in being part of the track & field team this spring.  There will be an important information session happening on Thursday March 12 in room 226 @ lunch. 
  • There will be a wellness committee meeting Thursday for all those interested in making our school a happier and safer place!  Location TBA.

  • Reminder for Junior & Senior Girls Rugby players to get forms in to Ms. Pasic.  Junior girls practice today at 3:00 pm in the gym.  Senior girls meet 3:00 Thursday for your contact practice @ Queens.  New players are still welcome!

  • Congratulations to the seniors girls volleyball team on an excellent showing at the OFSAA Championship this week.  The girls played very well and represented KCVI wil great class and sportsmanship.  The coaches are super proud of the team and want to thank our captains for their leadership. 
  • Harmony team meets today at lunch in room 225.  The multicultural fest is April 22nd so we have lots to do. See you there.  All are welcome. 
  • There is a meeting today at lunch in room 32 for anyone interested in playing Jr. Boys’ Rugby this spring.  If you want to get active and have a great time playing a team sport this is your chance!  No experience is necessary.  See Mr. Watt for details.
