About Mr. Wood...

I teach a variety of computer courses at KCVI, and I am the department head for Technology, Arts and Computer Studies. I am also one of the advisors for the Limestone District School Board Robotics Team: Lake Effect Robotics.

I have been teaching since 1995, and have been at KCVI since 2005. Previously I taught at Ernestown S.S., Napanee D.H.S., and in Belleville, Cobourg and Munich, Germany. (I have been grandually getting closer to Kingston!)

Usually, I teach Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Technology and Grade 9 Introduction to Information and Communication Technology for Business. I have also taught Math, Physics, Chemistry, Communication Technology and Gr. 9 Technology.

I also wrote and taught the Computer Technology additional qualification course for teachers at Queen's University Faculty of Education.

My educational background is in Electrical and Computer Engineering. I completed my undergraduate degree and Master's degree (focussing on Robotics) at Queen's University, and also did my teaching degree at Queen's.

My current interests and hobbies include robotics, electronics, camping, sailing, skiing and karate.
